On Saturday, July 19th, Oil Springs will celebrate its 160th anniversary with the biggest Black Gold Fest yet at the Oil Museum of Canada. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., locals and visitors can enjoy free live music, heritage demos, crafts, food vendors, and kids’ activities including face painting. The village will also host a Hobby and Pet Parade at 11 a.m., plus entertainment and a fun kids fest downtown and at the Youth Centre. This event honors Oil Springs’ historic role in Canada’s oil industry.
