Fatal Collision at Notorious Intersection

On Wednesday afternoon, St. Clair County Central Dispatch received a call on a tragic collision at Shea and Starville Roads. It claimed the life of a 52-year-old Clay Township man, Joseph Richard Quesnell. While driving a Ford Ranger, Quesnell stopped at the intersection but then proceeded, leading to a crash with a pickup traveling west on Shea Road. Emergency responders pronounced Quesnell dead at the scene. The intersection, known for previous accidents, has stop signs on Starville Road with warnings about Shea’s free-flowing traffic.

Men Face Pretrial Hearings

Two local men, Justin King from Sandusky and Anthony Caulkins from Peck, are set for pretrial hearings next week in separate child sexual abuse material cases.
