SC4 Skippers Make Historic Run
The SC4 men’s soccer team delivered a breakout season that energized fans across St. Clair County. In only its second year, the Skippers claimed the MCCAA title, the Region 12 championship, and the Northeast District crown, earning a trip to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The team finished 15-5-1 and went a perfect 7-0 in conference play. Key moments included a shutout win over Schoolcraft and a clutch tournament goal by Gabriele Catterina. Multiple players earned all-region honors, and Coach Brian Alumbaugh swept major coaching awards.

St. Clair County Kicks Off Holiday Season
St. Clair County families started the holidays early with festive events across the area. On Friday, Santa arrived at Birchwood Mall in Fort Gratiot with photos and live music. That same evening in downtown St. Clair, the Lighted Santa Parade began at Vine Street, ending with a tree lighting, Santa receiving the city key, and live reindeer at the Candy Cane Corral. On Saturday the Marine City Old Newsboys Craft & Vendor Show ran at Perch Point Conservation Club, offering local crafts, raffles, and food, all supporting the local charity.

Women Face Charges After Shooting Incident
Two women went before a Port Huron judge Tuesday after an October incident where police shot a dog.
23-year-old Paige Armstrong pled guilty to resisting an officer, reducing her charge from a felony to a misdemeanor with up to a year in jail. She says the dog later died.
21-year-old Julia Piper waived a preliminary hearing. She faces charges including assault with a dangerous weapon after allegedly releasing aggressive dogs during the arrest.
Armstrong will be sentenced Dec. 19th, and Piper’s next court date hasn’t been set
