The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is pressing ahead with its plans for a new Ursuline College in Chatham, seeking nearly $81 million in provincial funding. In Huron County, Jeffery Sample was found guilty of two counts of domestic violence and one count of malicious destruction of property following a violent incident in February. The altercation occurred when Sample, under the influence, attacked a woman, throwing her onto a bed. She fled to the bathroom, but Sample followed, damaging the door and knocking over a child’s potty chair onto her. After admitting to his actions during a police interview, Sample was arraigned on March 4th.
