Friends of the St. Clair River and the Port Huron Parks and Recreation Department invites nature enthusiasts of all ages to immerse themselves in an exciting aquatic adventure. 

On Wednesday, August 16th, at 6pm, gather at the pavilion by the St. Clair River, located at the south end of the Blue Water River Walk where participants will embark on a fascinating journey to uncover insects, snails, and clams, gaining valuable insights into the park’s ecological health.

Prepare for a hands-on experience as you explore the park’s thriving ecosystem and discover the diverse life forms that indicate the cleanliness of its water.

Exciting Fun Awaits At Lincoln Park With NAACP Field Day And Southside Music Fest

On Monday, August 28th, beginning at 1pm, the annual NAACP Field Day and Southside Music Fest is back at Lincoln Park promising a day filled with fantastic music, entertainment, and community spirit. Gather your friends, chairs, and umbrellas for a memorable event.

The festivities include an array of vendors offering mouthwatering food, clothing, and jewelry. The first 50 children to register will be treated to free hotdogs. There will also be a bike giveaway, video game mobile, raffle, and free books available. 

Don’t miss out on the live performances by four talented bands including Lin Roundtree, The Circle of Sound Band, Metro Soul Band, and The Thomason Band.

Spanning four consecutive Thursdays, the 2023 season boasts an impressive roster of acts, featuring genres ranging from pop, rock, and dance, to soul, R&B, Motown, funk, country, and more. Each night, the entertainment starts with talented opening acts at 6 pm, paving the way for the headlining acts to take the stage at 7 pm.

These top-notch concerts are open to all ages and come with no ticket requirements. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the magnificent view of the Blue Water Bridge while indulging in the delightful offerings from the beverage tent, food vendors, and activities such as cornhole, and more.
