Steve Ray Lecture Series
Steve Ray, a best-selling author and renowned Catholic speaker, will lead a two-night lecture series hosted by Blue Water North Family of Parishes in Port Huron. The event will be held at Port Huron Northern High School’s Performing Arts Center on April 1st and 2nd from 7 to 8 p.m. The first night will focus on “Conversion,” followed by “The Church, the Priesthood, and Confession” on the second night. Steve and his wife, Janet have led pilgrimages to Israel and beyond.

Home Prices See Modest Increase
In St. Clair County, the median home price reached $277,900 in February, showing a modest 1.1% increase from January, according to Realtor.com data. Compared to a year ago, February prices are up 3.9%. The typical home listed was 1,618 square feet, priced at $167 per square foot, down slightly from last year. Homes are selling faster, with a median of 53 days on the market, shorter than the national average of 66 days.

New Development Proposed in Marysville
A piece of agricultural land in Marysville could soon see new development. Interstate Capital is eyeing the plot along Range Road, between 18th Street and Cuttle Road, for a project that could include manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution. The first building would be constructed for $75-90 million, with more to follow once it’s sold. Marysville Mayor Hayman highlighted that Interstate Capital will pay for water and sewer infrastructure, offering benefits like new jobs and tax revenue. City officials plan to hold public hearings soon.

Teen Sentenced for Murder
Carmello Wilson, 17, was sentenced to 22 to 32 years in prison for the ’23 murder of 19-year-old Curtis “KC” Cureton in Flint. Wilson, who was charged as an adult despite being 15 at the time, shot Cureton in a parking lot near the intersection of Lapeer Avenue and 13th street, after claiming he acted in self-defense. Wilson said he feared Cureton, but the prosecution pointed out contradictions in his story, including photos where he was seen playing with a gun.
