Port Huron Store “A Little Something” Set To Close Its Doors In May

If you’ve ever strolled the streets of downtown Port Huron you may be familiar with the small retail shop, A Little Something, after serving the local area for over a decade they are expecting to close their doors permanently next month.

A Little Something carries retail items such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, and novelty items, but they are most known for their ice cream and sweet treats.

Owned by non-profit Touchstone Services, A Little Something also provided employment for individuals who face employment barriers due to certain disabilities or other challenges.

In 2020 the retail shop became a vendor in the Pine Grove Park concessions facility serving its famous ice cream along with snacks such as: hotdogs, potato chips, and beverages. They’ll be  continuing their operation in the park space this year.

The closing of the shop is due to an economic slump which has been affecting many small business owners in the downtown area.

What Was The Strange Light Seen In The Sky Around The Blue Water Area

On the evening of Monday, April 17th, there was a strange phenomenon that appeared in the sky that had residents in the Blue Water Area baffled. It appeared to be coming from across the border in Canada.

Many had their thoughts on what it could be, so here’s an official word on what the strange light seen in the sky actually was.

According to the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services Department, the strange phenomenon witnessed, is what’s called a light pillar, light pillars are formed when light is refracted by ice crystals under the right temperature conditions and light source.

The strange phenomenon was caused by flaring from the Nova Chemicals Corunna Site. Flaring is the act of burning excess gasses to depressurize equipment and manage unpredictable and large pressure variations, according to worldbank.org.

Or, it could just be aliens giving us a light show.
