Diesel Spill

Imperial Oil recently responded to a diesel leak at its dock on Christina Street South in Sarnia. The leak was quickly isolated and stopped, and containment booms were deployed to prevent the fuel from spreading in the St. Clair River. Cleanup crews worked through the night to recover the diesel, and water quality tests downstream showed no signs of contamination. Local officials did not issue any public safety alerts. The company continued monitoring the situation as clean-up efforts progressed.
