Lakeside Cemetery Winter Cleanup Advisory

For those of us who have lost a loved one, we sometimes like to visit their gravesites and leave items in memory, or as tribute to their passing. Sometimes these items accumulate and become an eyesore or they are not allowed on the premises of the cemetery.

If you have a loved one with a plot at Lakeside Cemetery, located at 3663 10th Ave, Port Huron they have issued a reminder for all winter decorations and non-conforming items to be removed from all plots by Friday, March 31st.

All non-permitted items will be removed and disposed of by cemetery personnel without further notice beginning Monday, April 1st.

The only items permitted on grave sites at Lakeside Cemetery are patriotic flags and flowers.

If you have further questions or would like to know the cemetery rules, visit: porthuron.org.
