Drug Task Force Seizes Meth, Weapons, and Ammo
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force continues its efforts to protect the community. Officers raided a home on Griswold Street after investigating methamphetamine sales. They found drugs, ammunition, AR magazines, and even 3D-printed gun parts. Matthew Wickings, 41, of Kimball Township, was arrested and faces serious felony charges, including meth possession with intent to deliver. In addition, a traffic stop on Wadhams Road led to another meth arrest. A 34-year-old Flint man was caught with nearly 60 grams of meth.

Casco Township Serious Injury Crash
A crash in Casco Township on Saturday, just before 10:30 PM, left a 17-year-old female from Richmond critically injured. She was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Division Rd when she failed to yield at Gratiot Ave, colliding with a southbound Ford F150. The impact trapped her in the vehicle, and she was rushed to McLaren Macomb hospital. The 32-year-old driver of the Ford and her passengers, a 39-year-old man and 2-year-old girl, were unharmed. No signs of alcohol, drugs, or speed were found.

Man Sentenced for Brutal Skateboard Assault
Dale McCauley of Sarnia, was sentenced to one year in jail for his role in a brutal attack on a local Walmart employee in August of ’22. The victim, who was skateboarding through Germain Park, was punched, kicked, and hit with his own skateboard. He suffered permanent injuries and was left unable to work.
Judge Raikes described the assault as a “cowardly, gutless attack,” but acknowledged McCauley’s efforts to turn his life around. McCauley will serve just six months after credit for time already spent in custody.

Four Arrested in Meth Bust
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force wrapped up an investigation into meth sales at an address on Howard Street in Port Huron. On March 31st, agents seized over 40 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia during a search, leading to two arrests. Michael Kovalcsik faces felony charges, including drug distribution and firearm offenses, with a $50,000 bond. Melody Ellick was charged with possession and has a $10,000 bond. Two other suspects were also arrested on warrants.
