First-Ever “Fash Bash”

Marysville’s Woodland Developmental Center is turning its gym into a runway on September 24th, for its first public “Fash Bash”. Students will model adaptive clothing from stores like Target, Walmart, Meijer, JCPenney, and Kohl’s, featuring designs with magnetic closures, sensory-friendly fabrics, and accommodations for medical devices. St. Clair County TEC cosmetology students will handle hair, makeup, and nails, giving the event a true runway feel. The show celebrates self-expression and confidence, supported by a $1,200 Community Foundation grant.

Blue Water Bridge Eastbound Lane Repairs

Starting today, drivers crossing the Blue Water Bridge eastbound into Canada should expect lane closures. The Michigan Department of Transportation says crews will be repairing the bridge deck to extend its lifespan. One lane will remain open from the toll plaza to mid-span, but vehicles wider than 14 feet won’t be allowed. Westbound traffic into the U.S. won’t be affected. The work is expected to continue through November.
