Pigs 4 Wigs Campaign

Police officers across Macomb County are getting ready to grow out the scruff this November, all to help Michigan kids who have lost their hair. Starting November 1st, 16 departments, including St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, Eastpointe and the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, are joining the 14th annual Pigs 4 Wigs campaign. Male officers skip the razor, while female officers wear earrings and nail polish, after donating to take part. The money goes to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, that gives free wigs and support services to children ages 3 to 18 at no charge.
