Port Huron police investigated an alleged shooting Tuesday afternoon near the 1300 block of 18th Street. Officers described it as “an isolated incident inside a nearby home” and said the investigation is ongoing. Nearby residents were asked to stay inside and call 911 if they saw anything suspicious. Local schools briefly sheltered in place as a precaution, but by early afternoon, Port Huron schools reported normal activities had resumed, and no threat to students was found.
