As the weather begins to break and give us a glimpse of what’s to come, the Port Huron Huron Museums announces the reopening of one of their most popular sites, the Thomas Edison Depot Museum.
On April 1st guests can begin scheduling their visits to take in the sights and learn a little about the boyhood home of Thomas Edison.
The museum, located at 510 Edison Parkway, is housed in the historic Fort Gratiot train depot that Thomas Edison worked out of as a news reporter between 1859 and 1863.
It features re-created period environments and hands-on displays that tell the story of Edison’s creativity, family support, adversity, perseverance, and triumph as one of the greatest inventors of our time.
The museum is fully wheelchair accessible with hours of operation being Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
