Lambton College in Sarnia has agreed to let a private developer run its new student residence and collect rent for 99 years, with the building becoming college property only once that term ends. Records show Tilbury Capital and its partners are financing the 311-bed project, valued near 50 million dollars, while the college has already committed more than 16 million dollars toward construction. The old residence will be demolished next year, and the new building is set to open in September next year.
