A 29 year old Richmond man was killed early Thursday morning in a one car crash in Casco Township. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an unknown crash in the 9500 block of St. Clair Highway shortly after 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered a 29 year old Richmond man had been driving westbound, when he lost control of his 1999 Dodge Ram pickup. The truck went off the road and struck two trees. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The incident has been turned over to the Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit. At this time it is unknown what caused the crash. Richmond Fire and Rescue and Richmond-Lenox EMS also assisted at the scene of the crash.
