Sarnia-Lambton’s Emergency Notification System Is Changing Their Look

Those in the Sarnia-Lambton community may be familiar with the former MyCNN (My Community Notification Network) which is the regional notification tool that alerts subscribers to local emergencies, extreme weather, missing persons, and more. They will be officially rebranding by changing their name and logo.

The new name for the free notification system will be Sarnia-Lambton Alerts which took effect April 13th.

Partners from the City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Aamjiwnaang First Nation and local industry were involved in the re-branding, with the help of Sarnia-based TMRRW Inc.

Communications and Engagement Coordinator at BASES, Tracy Krull says, “Since its implementation in 2014 we have added in the industrial partners to be able to share community notices with the public as well. So we wanted something that was a bit more intuitive with the name, and to remove some of the confusion.”

Users may sign up for notifications by visiting lambtonbases.ca.
