Sarnia’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 is putting $506,000 directly into the community, thanks to its spring $2.1 million Catch the Ace lottery. The funds are reaching 35 local non-profits, from healthcare and youth services to food security and animal rescue. Petrolia’s Legion Branch 216 received the largest grant, $50,000, for accessibility upgrades, while organizations like Bluewater Health Foundation, Sarnia-Lambton Rebound, and Habitat for Humanity each got $20,000. Smaller groups, including local animal rescues and veteran programs, also benefited.
