Kyle Thompson, a 32-year-old Sarnia resident, was given house arrest in January of ’23 for selling meth but was warned by the judge that any rule violations could land him in jail. After breaking curfew in July, by returning home late and stopping at an unauthorized location, he spent 39 days in jail. On August 8th, he was arrested again but released after both lawyers argued the breach was minor. The judge warned that any further violations would lead to jail time for the remainder of his sentence, which ends in January.
