The State Attorney General’s Office has found that the February fatal shooting of a man by a state trooper in Port Huron was justified, therefore no criminal charges filed against the trooper. 52 year old Mark Ryan was shot February 12, after troopers responded to a 911 call that Ryan was intoxicated and threatening to take his own life and asking for someone to shoot him. Ryan came out of the home with a pistol in his right hand, which turned out to be a BB gun, walked toward a trooper and raised the gun, prompting the trooper to fire three times, killing him.
