Cardinal Mooney senior Stella Behnan overcame a serious sacral fracture at the base of her spine last summer. The injury forced her to miss the entire cross country season and raised doubts about her future in track. With steady support from coach Matt Zammit, she pushed through three months of recovery and tough winter training. On May 6, Behnan broke the school record in the girls 1,600 meters, running 5 minutes 39.76 seconds. She heads to the Division 4 state finals on May 30th.
