The trial of Michael Stickler, accused of killing court officer Robert Silver during an eviction attempt, has been postponed until January. The delay was granted after Stickler’s attorney, Sharron Parrish, expressed concerns about her ability to represent him effectively due to her heavy workload from other cases. Parrish recently handled multiple significant trials, including a murder case. St. Clair County Assistant Prosecutor Cailin Wilson hoped for a verdict by year’s end for Silver’s family but acknowledged the necessity of the postponement. The new trial date is set for January 28th.
