Authorities in Cass City moved fast last Thursday morning after learning of a threat aimed at the local high school. Around 8 a.m., the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office joined Cass City Police at the Jr./Sr. High School to investigate. A 19-year-old student from nearby Gagetown was later arrested in connection with the threat. Investigators then searched his home, seizing several firearms as part of the case. Law enforcement says there’s no ongoing danger to the school or the community, but the investigation into the student’s actions remains active.
