TEC Students Triumph With 29 Medals At State SkillsUSA Leadership Conference

TEC students exhibited exceptional talent and dedication at the recent state SkillsUSA Leadership Conference, held in Grand Rapids from April 12th to 14th. Among the 70 students representing ten programs, an impressive 29 emerged victorious with medals, including ten gold medalists.

The triumph doesn’t end there. Seven gold medalists from programs advancing to the National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 24th to 28th are gearing up to showcase their skills on a larger stage.

SkillsUSA, a renowned national nonprofit organization, caters to over 310,000 high school and college students preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. The annual SkillsUSA competition serves as a platform to assess students’ mastery of career-oriented skills, spotlighting the nation’s finest career and technical education talent.

Congratulations to all of the TEC participants, who honed their abilities through diligent after-school practice sessions led by devoted instructors and paraprofessionals.
