Teen Sentenced in Drive-By Shooting

A 19-year-old Port Huron man is headed to prison after a November drive-by shooting on West Water Street. Cameron Maydwell was sentenced Monday to three-and-a-half to 10 years after pleading guilty to firing at a home and other weapons charges. Police arrested him and two others shortly after the shooting in a van with guns, including an AR-15. No one was hurt, but the judge said the victims were terrified. One co-defendant’s charges were dropped, while another awaits sentencing in June.
