Teachers are some of the most important individuals in our community. They care for the needs of our children when we are not present, and deal with a multitude of personalities and personal issues that affect our youth.
As a celebration of those individual teachers who are exemplary at what they do, The Port Huron Area School District (PHASD) has brought back their Tribute Tuesday program.
Tribute Tuesday allows anyone from the community to pay tribute to, or recognize a teacher or student in the PHASD that they feel deserves recognition. Those individuals will then be shared on the Port Huron Schools Facebook page.
All entries will be considered for the annual Advocator, Innovator, and Educator of the Year awards given during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
To recognize a local teacher or student you can email the superintendent at: superintendent@phasd.us or go to phasd.us and click “Staff Recognition Form” under the “Parent/Student” scroll down.
