After 31 years, Nancy Winzer, Port Huron’s Deputy City Manager, retired, leaving a legacy of revitalized parks. A St. Clair County Community College and Central Michigan University alumna, she joined the city’s Parks and Recreation Department in ’94, becoming director in 2010, and was promoted in ’23. At her final council meeting, she praised Port Huron’s dedicated workers. Cynthia Broomfield succeeds her. Celebrate Winzer’s service at a public reception tonight at McMorran Place from 5 to 7.
