Worth Township officials are under internal investigation after a recent audit revealed some public officials may have received extra, unauthorized pay. The review by King & Messing of Imlay City covered the 24‑25 fiscal year and found late payroll tax filings, unbalanced bank records, and penalties costing taxpayers thousands. Trustees Steven Kovac and Doug Varty say township attorneys are already interviewing those involved. A plan to fix the issues is expected at the next board meeting.
