Rare Summer Lighthouse Tours Return

Port Sanilac’s historic lighthouse will open for limited public tours every Friday from July 4th through August 29th. For $10, guests can climb the tower, enjoy lake views, and explore the nearby Loop-Harrison Mansion. Proceeds support the Port Sanilac Lighthouse Conservancy and the Sanilac County Historical Society. Built in 1886, the lighthouse normally stays closed, making these summer tours a rare local treat. Hospital Project Moves Forward

After nearly two years of waiting, McKenzie Health System in Sandusky received federal approval to move forward with building a brand-new hospital. Man Faces 30 Felony Counts

A Tuscola County man is behind bars after a Michigan State Police investigation led to 30 felony charges tied to child exploitation. Authorities say 24-year-old James Arthur Goudie was arrested Thursday after investigators seized digital evidence showing he was sharing abusive material online. Charges include aggravated possession and distribution of child sexually abusive content, along with using a computer to commit the crimes. Goudie was arraigned with bond set at $200,000. He’s due back in court tomorrow for a preliminary hearing.

Fort Gratiot’s Blue Water Cruise Weekend brought classic cars, food, and family fun to town. Sarnia Plans Full-Day Canada Day Bash
