Pickup Truck Hits Boy on Bike

Port Huron police say a pickup truck hit a young boy on a bicycle Tuesday at the busy intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Garfield Street. Officers arrived just before 4 p.m. and found the juvenile alert and talking at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. The driver was cited for running a red light. With warmer weather bringing more bikes and walkers out, police urge everyone to watch for each other and obey traffic signals to keep our streets safe.
