Hull’s Leadership Official

St. Clair County is making leadership official. Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Thomas Hull as the county’s full-time administrator and controller, dropping his interim title after months on the job. Hull stepped in January first following the previous administrator’s retirement and will now serve through the end of ’28. He started with the county 13 years ago, and worked his way up through several roles. In this position, Hull manages daily operations and oversees county finances, with full support from the board.

Drivers Face Road Closures & Delays

Drivers heading through St. Clair County should plan for delays this week as road crews roll out multiple projects. Officials say several roads in Casco, Emmett, and Riley townships will see full, one-day closures for culvert work, while others like County Line and Gratiot roads will have intermittent lane restrictions. Additional slowdowns are expected from ditching, bridge washing, and ongoing bridge replacement on Frith Road. All work depends on weather, so drivers are urged to allow extra time and follow posted detours.
