McKenzie Clinic Expands Hours

McKenzie Health System is expanding access to care in Sandusky by extending hours at its After-Hours Clinic and adding Family Nurse Practitioner Trisha Ameel to the team. Starting June 30, the clinic on Delaware Street will open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Ameel, a lifelong Sanilac County resident, brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience and joins current provider Abigail Knox in delivering urgent care services close to home.

Man Faces 30 Felony Counts

A Tuscola County man is behind bars after a Michigan State Police investigation led to 30 felony charges tied to child exploitation. Authorities say 24-year-old James Arthur Goudie was arrested Thursday after investigators seized digital evidence showing he was sharing abusive material online. Charges include aggravated possession and distribution of child sexually abusive content, along with using a computer to commit the crimes. Goudie was arraigned with bond set at $200,000. He’s due back in court tomorrow for a preliminary hearing.
