Gas Prices Finally Coming Down

Gas prices in Michigan have dropped by 13 cents from last week, now averaging $3.08 per gallon for regular unleaded. This is 17 cents cheaper than last month and 48 cents less than last year. Filling a 15-gallon tank costs about $46, saving drivers roughly $11 compared to last July’s peak. Despite higher demand for gasoline, supplies have tightened slightly, while crude oil prices rose to $61.84 a barrel. With inventories below the five-year average, lower crude prices and falling demand could push gas prices even lower soon.
