Civic Theater Brings “Anastasia” to the Stage

The Port Huron Civic Theater is bringing a touch of Russian history to the stage this holiday season with the musical “Anastasia.” Performances run Dec. 12th–14th at McMorran Place, with shows on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. The story follows a young woman after the Bolshevik Revolution as two conmen try to pass her off as Anastasia Romanov, the lost daughter of Russia’s last Czar. Woman Arraigned After Domestic Shooting

Marine City police have arrested and arraigned a local woman following a domestic shooting that left one person injured recently. Christine Hurley-Arnold, 55, was charged November 14th with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor after allegedly shooting someone in the lower leg on South Elizabeth Street on November 11th. She is being held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Wednesday. Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
