Port Huron Civic Theatre is bringing Disney’s The Lion King JR. to life at McMorran Place early March. The youth production features about 80 local students in a one‑hour adaptation of the Broadway hit and classic 1994 film. Port Huron residents can kick up their heels at St. Mary Parish’s Line Dancing Evening on Friday, Feb. 13th. The free event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. in the parish’s social hall on Ballentine Street. Popular DJ and instructor Carol Daugherty will lead the music and steps for dancers of all ages. Snacks, bottled water, and plenty of fun are promised. Worth Township officials are under internal investigation after a recent audit revealed some public officials may have received extra, unauthorized pay. The review by King & Messing of Imlay City covered the 24‑25 fiscal year and found late payroll tax filings, unbalanced bank records, and penalties costing taxpayers thousands. Trustees Steven Kovac and Doug Varty say township attorneys are already interviewing those involved. A plan to fix the issues is expected at the next board meeting.
